Super Babysitter Course

The "Super Babysitter" course is designed for youth 11 and 12 years old who are interested in working as Mother's helpers, as well as those 13 years and older who will be baby-sitting on their own. "Super Babysitter" focuses on providing participants with the knowledge and skills essential to becoming a responsible babysitter. Course content includes infant and toddler care, first aid, age appropriate activities for children, and marketing tips.

Topics covered in this course include: Safety Awareness, Creating a Babysitting Business, Infant Care, Tips for Toddlers, Age Appropriate Toys, Games and Activities, Handling Problems, Helpful Hints for Bedtime, Avoiding Arguments, Easy Entertainment, and First Aid.

* The Friends and Family CPR course teaches rescuers skills in CPR and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction, signs of heart attack and stroke. It also includes signs of choking in infants and children, and prevention of the most common fatal injuries in infants and children. Upon completion a participation card is issued.
